Tournament Starts in
Fencers Club London Open
We are pleased to announce our third open tournament which is being held on Sunday 1st September 2019.
With a solid track record in organising well-run tournaments that have a great atmosphere and are supported by being in a purpose-built sporting venue with an experienced support team covering everything from the technical aspects to the catering, you can expect a top calibre event.
The tournament is being held at the Nuffield Sports Centre at the Royal Masonic School for Girls in Rickmansworth. This amazing venue is a massive sports hall with lots of additional space, that is also bright and airy. It also has massive amounts of additional space for baggage, spectators, catering and trade stands. It also has very easy access from the M25 and great links to public transport (see more on our venue page).
This is a foil only open for both men and women, run under British Fencing rules. The format will be one round of poules with all fencers qualifying for the Direct Elimination (DE) rounds. As many pistes as we can will be matted, and all should have scoring boxes with timers. We will arrange for a number of referees to cover the event.
There will be cash prizes for first, second and third placed fencers. We are in discussion with our sponsors and will confirm the exact amount in the near future.
The entry fee is £30. Check-in times are 10:00 am for Men and 10:30 am for Ladies. The current event limits are 84 for men and 35 for ladies.
